Money Tree  'Pachira aquatica' are often grown in moderate light envoriments and can grow quite large. Shop all Money Trees.


Light: 

  • Can tolerate a wide variety of lighting conditions, including low light if necessary 
  • Does not like direct sun - it will yellow the leaves  

Water:

  • This plant stores water in its trunk; the trunk could become soft and rot if the plant is overwatered 
  • Water when top inch of soil is dry - roughly every 7-10 days
  • If in a brighter light condition, water weekly

Humidity

  • Average household humidity is fine

Soil Type: 

  • Needs a balanced mix that is moisture retentive but also well draining 
  • 1 part soil, 1 part perlite, 1 part peat moss is a good balance 

Toxicity Level: 

  • Non-toxic to animals 

Additional Information:

  • Leaves tend to collect dust - wipe with a wet microfiber cloth or soft duster monthly
