What makes a plant rare?
There are a lot of reasons plants can be rare, including how difficult they are to grow, how many growers have them available, and demand. Certain Variegated plants like Philodendron Pink Princess and Monstera albo, cannot be grown from seed, and must be grown from cuttings of existing plants, making the process long with much lower crop yields than planting from seed or tissue culture.
All of our plants are grown in the US, from reputable growers. We never raise prices based on rarity or demand, all of our pricing is determined by the cost to us. So, when we find good deals, we’ll pass them along to you too.
