Ficus Repens Care

Ficus Repens are shingling plants that form long vines overtime. They are available in green and variegated varieties.


Creeping Fig (Green, Variegated)

Light: 

  • Bright, indirect light 
  • Variegated varieties need slightly more light to upkeep leaves 

Water: 

  • Keep soil evenly moist, but not soggy 
  • Water roughly once a week 

Humidity

  • Average household humidity is fine

Soil Type: 

  • Needs rich, well draining soil 
  • Potting mix with perlite and a dusting of worm castings on top will suffice 

Toxicity Level: 

  • Toxic to animals 

Additional Information:

  • Can tolerate being rootbound to a degree
  • These are easily propagated by taking stem cuttings 
  • Can either grow as a trailing vine, or you can keep it pruned
