Spider Plant

Spider Plants are easy care and make great hanging plants that grow large over time.

Light: 

  • Tolerant of a variety of light conditions, including low light 
  • Will grow best in bright, indirect light
  • Avoid direct sun 

Water: 

  • Allow soil to fully dry between waterings 
  • Prefers filtered water, or at least tap water that has sat out overnight to allow chlorine to evaporate 

Humidity

  • Humidity is not necessary but can be beneficial if the leaves are browning around the edges 

Soil Type: 

  • Rich, but well draining soil is best
  • Any indoor potting mix with perlite and a handful of worm castings will suffice 

Toxicity Level: 

  • Non-toxic to animals 

Additional Information:

  • Older plants will make pups that branch off the tips of the leaves; can easily be cut off and propagated
