Ponytail palms are technically not a palm nor a tree; it is a member of the Agave family. They grow beautiful long leaves over time and very large thick trunks.

Light: 

  • Requires very bright light, some direct sun is best. 

Water: 

  • Let water dry out fully between waterings 
  • Trunk stores water; if it is overwatered, it will get mushy and rot 

Humidity

  • Humidity is not necessary

Soil Type: 

  • A regular cactus/succulent mix will suffice 
  • Must be well draining 

Toxicity Level: 

  • Non-toxic to animals
