A message from Paraíso about fertilizer.
Before you use any fertilizer on your plant, research your particular plant's needs. For most tropical plants we sell, fertilizing is only required in spring & summer during the plant's active growing season, not every watering as some labels suggest. It's important to allow your plant to acclimate to new surroundings before you fertilize it, and wait at least 3-4 weeks after repotting before fertilizing. Over-fertilizing can burn your plant, so be sure to follow label directions.
Foliage-Pro® 9-3-6 is a complete nutrition formula that has all 6 essential macronutrients and all 10 essential micronutrients required by plants for optimum growth in any medium. The N-P-K (3-1-2) ratio is recommended by the National Rose Society, the University of Florida and a number of other plant specialists and organizations. This N-P-K ratio is the ideal ratio for most plants including, but not limited to; roses, tropicals, legumes, and cannabis. Foliage-Pro is complete and balanced and, like all our complete formulae, the minerals are in solution and immediately available to the plant.
The N-P-K ratio of Foliage-Pro is also ideal for phosphorous sensitive plants and supplies a high nitrate to ammoniacal nitrogen ratio needed to promote shorter internodal spacing resulting in stronger stems. The immediate availability to the plant, with our exclusive complete solutions, gives the grower optimum control with timing in a feeding schedule. Foliage-Pro, and all other Dyna-Gro products, are urea free and are formulated to eliminate salt build-up when used at recommended rates. Foliage-Pro should primarily be used as a root drench but may be applied as a foliar spray at lower concentrations for a quick fix of many mineral deficiencies. Dyna-Gro has the only complete, one-part nutrient formulas on the market today.

Plant sizes (like 4in Calathea) refer to the diameter of the pot size they are sold in. Our plants are most often available in 2in, 4in, 6in, 8in, and 10in, pot sizes.
- 2in plants are seedlings and require extra care because they are in a delicate stage of their life.
- 4in plants are young plants that are well established, but small in size, depending on the species, they range from 3-8in high. A great budget option, or if you like to raise your plants on your own.
- 6in plants are young adult plants that are established, mature, and great for a table top centerpiece. Usually 5-12in tall or wide depending on the species.
- 8in plants are larger, more presence-full plants, great for larger spaces, or to give your home a more jungle vibe. Usually 12in-24in tall
- 10in - Monstera and Ficus plants usually come in 10in size. A ficus in a 10in pot will usually be like a little tree size from 3-4ft tall. Monstera in this size will be 2-3ft tall and have split leaves at this age.
