Aglaonema Care

Aglaonema are great for gifting and is a very easy care plant that is tolerant of a wide range of lighting conditions including office fluorescent lighting.

Light: Bright, indirect light is best, especially for white, variegated varieties. Varieties with dark foliage can tolerate medium to low light conditions.

Water: Let soil dry out 50% between waterings (about every 10-14 days). Prone to root rot, so be careful not to overwater (widespread sudden yellowing leaves is a good indicator of overwatering, though lower leaves will slowly yellow and die off as plant grows and can be pruned off).

Soil Type: Needs lots of aeration and drainage. Peat or coco coir-based potting soil with extra perlite (3-1 ratio); also consider blending in a bark-based orchid mix.

Toxicity Level: Toxic to animals

Additional Information: This plant is great for gifting and is a very easy care plant tolerant of a wide range of lighting conditions including office fluorescent lighting. Glossy leaves gather dust, so a light dusting a couple times a month with a soft cloth or duster is beneficial.
